Experience in erecting structural steel and welding.
Experience in all welding aspects of field welding.
Rigging and lifting, using proper rigging signals.
Working from an elevated work platform.
Knowledgeable in Health and Safety policies.
Read and understand Blueprint drawings and specifications.
Comfortable working at elevated heights, using safety precautions
Strong communication skills
repairing structural steel components
working with misc steel
Team player, must be able to coordinate tasks with other team and trade members
Ability to build jigs, specific to fabrication drawings
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop skills of new apprentices
Proven experience as a welder

First aid
Heavy industrial shop experiences
experience working in heavy industrial maintenance work
requiring lifting, kneeling, bending, and twisting working at awkward body position
The welder must have a journeyman ticket or apprentice welcome
Apprentice must have field experience
Must be able to provide a welder logbook
CWB SMAW, all positions for the welder standard
Fall protection and Elevated work platform ticket needs to be standard.
Must be local to lower mainland
Must be able to submit CWB tickets and safety tickets upon application.
