Job Description

  • Coordinate Steel detailing projects from conception to successful completion for both TDS and the fabricator
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Develop project schedules along with TDS production staff and monitor progress against them
  • Identify and report project risks and opportunities
  • Manage Project change orders and ensure they are properly documented and communicated to all relevant parties
  • Checking of models and drawings as required, interacting with detailers in our overseas offices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of steel detailing experience
  • 5 years of checking experience
  • 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of steel detailing standards and practices for CISC & AISC
  • Experience with Tekla Structures, use of MS Office programs
  • Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Experience with or understanding of fabrication technologies
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
