Work closely with the Site Superintendent in coordinating work activities with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Assist in providing training to crew members on safety precautions, company policies, and job skills
Assist in scheduling staff time efficiently to ensure that all project goals are met within specified time frames
Monitoring the progress of construction projects to ensure that contractors are meeting deadlines and adhering to specifications
Assist in estimating costs for labor and materials needed for projects
Coordinating with other team members to ensure that all aspects of a project are completed on time.
Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and customers to monitor the progress of construction projects
Recording construction details such as measurements, materials used, and building codes used
Assist the Site Superintendent in managing safety procedures on construction sites to ensure worker safety
Giving site orientations to new and current workers
Performing site safety inspections
Filling out daily and weekly safety reports and notifying the Project Manager and Construction Manager of any potential hazards
Assisting site supervisors in keeping a safe workplace for all employees and sub trades
Assisting carpenters in building forms, site maintenance duties etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Is reliable, has previous construction work experience, and able to start immediately
Must have OFA Intermediate or Advanced First Aid.
Must have a CSO designation or equivalent, safety knowledge
Can communicate effectively and professionally with trades, vendors, and company staff
Is a dedicated and driven self-starter who can meet required deadlines
Has knowledge of WCB regulations
Must have own transportation as our sites are all over the Lower Mainland
