We are seeking entry-level sheet metal workers, experienced apprentices, and journeymen sheet metal workers to join our dynamic team. Whether you’re new to the trade or looking to further your skills, Millstone Heating & Sheet Metal provides hands-on training and the opportunity to grow your career in the HVAC and sheet metal industry.

As a sheet metal apprentice, you will work alongside skilled professionals to install ductwork, and other sheet metal components. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and dedicated to producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork, pipes, and other HVAC components.
  • Follow blueprints, sketches, and plans for installations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Work alongside experienced professionals, learning new techniques and skills on the job.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic understanding of mathematics for measuring and cutting materials accurately.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work (e.g., snips, hammers, drills.. ect).
    • Understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications an asset but not required

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
    • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with tools.
    • Physical stamina for 8 hour days and working in various environments.

  • Work Experience:

    • Some experience in construction or a related field (even if not directly in sheet metal work) can be helpful experience.

  • Personal Traits:

    • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication skills for interacting with supervisors and colleagues.
    • A willingness to learn and take direction, with a proactive attitude toward safety and skill development.

  • Safety Awareness:

    • Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations
    • Willingness to wear necessary protective gear (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, & steel toed boots).
