The Plumbing Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site plumbing activities for construction projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications, codes, and company standards. The Foreman leads crews, manages resources, and acts as the key liaison between field staff, project management, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of plumbers and apprentices on active construction sites
Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily plumbing activities to meet project timelines
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installation
Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to avoid conflicts and delays
Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment required for the job
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and safety compliance
Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues or site challenges efficiently
Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor hours, progress, and any incidents
Enforce company safety policies and participate in safety meetings
Qualifications
Red Seal Certification
Wood frame experience preferred
5+ years of plumbing experience in the foreman role
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
