Job Description

Holland Landscapers has over 75 years in the landscaping industry in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland and has been involved in the construction of some of Vancouvers most iconic projects – the Vancouver Aquarium, the Science World park and the Vancouver Convention Centre. We do landscape maintenance, installations and landscape construction.

We are looking for experienced Lead Carpenters to join our company. We are committed to high quality landscape installations, with a team who cares about the work they do. There are opportunities for growth and development.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise a crew of carpenters and laborers on construction sites.
    • Read and interpret drawings.
    • Lay out work, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to specification.
    • Perform various carpentry tasks including forming, framing, decking, benches and site furnishings.
    • Concrete pours and placing and finishing.
    • Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with Work Safe standards.
    • Coordinate with Head Carpenter for material and tool requirements before supplies run out.
    • Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and improve performance.
    • Track labor and material usage and report progress to supervisors.
    • Inspect completed work to ensure quality.
    • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
    • Capable of standing, climbing, bending, and working at heights for extended periods.
    • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
