Job Description
ACE Plumbing and Heating is looking for an experienced, full time HVAC Service Technician to join our busy Service Department. We are a family run company with more than 40 years in the Okanagan and recognize hard work. The is a permanent, full-time position and we keep all of our employees (now more than 90) busy all year round. The position will require the tech to diagnose, repair and maintain both residential and commercial equipment. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4 years. Your core duties will include:
- Perform a wide range of HVAC service and maintenance work from minor fixes to complicated issues for residential and commercial customers
- Diagnose, quote, install, repair and maintain HVAC equipment and systems in residential settings
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining to customers the issues diagnosed and the path to repair them
- Install and repair air conditioners, cased coils, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless splits, air handlers, humidifiers HRVS and other HVAC equipment
- Order materials and equipment for service work
- Communicating directly with customers
- Be able to handle the physical requirements of the job: heavy lifting, climbing ladders, working in crawlspaces, etc.
- Complete required paperwork in a legible and timely manner
- Work closely and respectfully with dispatcher
Additional duties may include:
· Occasional evening and weekend work
· Working form heights and confined spaces
