Preparing estimates of the cost of materials, labour and equipment for a construction project
Understanding and reading schemes in order to make estimates of the cost of the project
Establishing and maintaining the tendering(bidding) process
Setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Working with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on feasibility studies and making adjustments to the cost when needed
Managing and coordinating construction projects and preparing construction progress schedules

Degree or diploma in Construction, Engineering or related discipline with 2 + years’ experience
Familiar with construction terms, practices, scheduling, BC building codes, costs, and budgets
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Projects. Experience with Procore would be considered an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic – ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while finding solutions to problems
Team Player – must value the support of those around them and look for opportunities to help others succeed
