Job Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

· Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications.

· Plan work and coordinate layout needs to facilitate construction for assigned scopes of work.

· Able to shoot grades for pipe and trenches.

· Perform quantity take-offs to estimate material needs. Examples include linear meters of pipe, tonnes of gravel, cubic meters of excavation/fill.

· Understand production schedule, identify crew and equipment needs, calculate production rates and, direct work of assigned crew to meet schedule.

· Perform daily forecast of crew cost and production rate and report to Superintendent as required.

· Communicate on a professional level with inspectors, subcontractors, owner reps and the public.

· Create as-built drawings for completed works.

· Complete company required or regulatory documents such as DRA, JHA, Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheet, timesheets, etc.

· Supervise, mentor and coach craft personnel as it relates to company policies, procedures, and work requirements.

· Support published corporate policies. Maintain high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures for craft personnel and subcontractors.

· Present safety topics at meeting when required.

· Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules.

· Ensures workers for each task are fully qualified to perform assigned duties.

· Coordinate sub-contractors onsite.

· Maintains knowledge of Quattro’s company values and strategic plan.

Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.

Preferred Qualifications

Quattro Constructors is hiring a Carpenter Foreman for heavy civil formwork and site supervision on our projects in the BC Lower Mainland (locations include South Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, etc.). Industrial/Heavy Civil Formwork experience is required.
