Job Description
The Assistant Manager will serve as manager on duty, performing all of the responsibilities of the General Manager when they are not present. Responsible for assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the entire branch, they will present as a role model for customer service and instill this value in all of their associates. Together with the General Manager they will create an environment for continual learning and encourage an open dialogue among associates. Providing leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Slegg’s core values and vision. The salary range is $70,000 - $83,000.

Responsibilites
- Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to all staff.
- Lead by example and initiate contact with every customer
- Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
- Ensure that GMS Health and Safety regulations are adhered to and required monthly standards are met.
- Actively participate in monthly Joint Occupational Health & Safety Meetings, and Safety Huddles.
- Oversee the flow of inventory in the branch through the various levels of stock management: Receiving, Stock Replenishment, Overstock Management and Cycle Count Metrics.
- Inventory Lead for all quarterly inventory counts.
- Management of inventory levels to minimize over-stocks and out -of-stocks.
- Execute all sales promotions i.e.: Slegg Essentials, Build a Basket, and all other Slegg sales initiatives.
- Ensure all product displayed is merchandised, presented neatly and items are priced correctly.
- Supervise all staff in the branch and coordinate work to ensure productive operations at all hours and ensure that Customer Service is our first priority.
- Hold staff accountable for performance, attendance and misconduct.
- Select, orient, and train new employees.
- Conduct bi-yearly performance reviews.
