Raven Group of Companies provides commercial flat roofing and architectural sheet metal services throughout the Lower Mainland and into the Fraser Valley.
We are currently looking for Roofing Labourers & Roofing Apprentices . We have established an apprenticeship program that will aid you in your growth to become Red Seal Journeyman. Great opportunity!
Hours:
Monday through Friday - some weekend work is available
Start times range between 7:00am to 7:30 am and runs through to the middle of the afternoon.
Vacation:
2 weeks annual vacation
Apprenticeship (Red Seal) training options - Sheet Metal Worker or Roofer, Damp and Water proofer - RCABC
Site specific training/ Health and Safety Orientation will commence the first week of employment
Job Duties required but not limited too:
- Must have at least year in Commercial Flat Roofing and or Apprenticeship / Journeyman experience.
- Knowledge of materials used , SBS , EPDM , TPO etc.
- Attending Safety Meetings to learn and discuss the risks on the job site
- Organize, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Push, pull, drag, and lift heavy materials and supplies
- Assist other workers with various tasks throughout the day
- Secure and cover all materials and supplies at the end of each day
Job Requirements and Expectations:
You can perform the physical aspects of the job – the bending, lifting, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time
- You are dependable & reliable arrive to work on time and prepared to work
- You have a keen eye for detail and who are genuinely interested in their new career
- You who are not afraid of heights but instead enjoy the spectacular views this career offers
- Good listeners who can follow clear instructions
- You enjoy being outdoors in all weather - heat, cold, wind and rain and who have the natural ability to protect themselves and others against the elements
- You are safety conscious and who are keen at identifying workplace hazards
- Those who are registered with RCABC will take first consideration.
Required CSA boots (steel toed) and a hard hat *Mandatory tools will also be needed.
