We are seeking an Apprentice Glazier, Assistant Glazier or Glazier to join our team. Our ideal candidate would have a high attention to detail, be motivated to work and learn, and value professionalism and respect.
Job specialization: Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems, walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions).
Worksite environment: Sound and noise. Outside, exposed to weather, extreme temperatures.Hazardous conditions. High places.Hazardous equipment, machinery, tools.
Location of Work: Various locations across Lower Mainland, mostly Vancouver.
Job title: Apprentice Glazier/Assistant Glazier/ Glazier
At least 6 months of related glazing experience. Basic English is required.
Daily job tasks:
Determine the type of glass, frames and material required.
Measure, mark and cut glass.
Position and secure panes in frame.
Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products.
Install doors, windows and other hardware.
Repair glass doors and other glass structures.
Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment.
