Mazzei Electric started in Nanaimo, BC in 1994. We started as a small family run company that focused on commercial service contracts. We now have a variety of multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects across the province, complimented by our service departments that offer residential and commercial service and maintenance. Compensation for this role ranges from $21.17/hour to $30.69/hour, health and dental benefits after three months, and RRSP matching after one year. When you factor these together the total compensation ranges from $23.55 to $33.36.
Responsibilities
- Conduit bending
- Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
- Drilling and cable-pulling
- Punctual and reliable presence on worksites
- Follow safety programs and policies, wear appropriate PPE, and attend safety training as required
- Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients
- Cutting in and splicing switches/receptacles/lights
- Use of standard construction power tools
Qualifications
- Must be able to be registered as an apprentice through SkilledTrades BC
- Electrical field experience is required
- Commercial/residential construction experience an asset
- Basic hand tools and cordless power tools
- Valid class 5 driver’s license preferred
- Adequate knowledge of the CEC
- Willing to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts.
