The successful candidate for this position will apply their competent carpentry skills and meticulous attention to detail to work in both independent and team-oriented environments.General Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Carpenter/Apprentice Carpenter include, but are not limited to:- Arrive on-time and prepared to work, with the necessary tools to complete required tasks.- Prepare materials and set up the work area, including necessary equipment.-Safely handle, lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.- Skillfully operate a variety of hand tools, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials. Develop layouts, templates, and jigs as needed.- Knowledge of rebar layout and tying, hoarding, and building and concrete work heating.- Experience installing windows, siding and framing etc.- Willingness to learn project contract details from supervisors to ensure project understanding and be proactive in informing supervisors about material requirements and necessary items for current and future tasks on-site.- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce waste while being committed to continuous learning, teaching, mentoring, and personal growth within a team environment.- Maintains effective safety processes and proceduresIn Return for Your Outstanding Expertise, Rupert Wood’N Steel Construction Ltd.
