           <title>Cabinet Maker / Joiner</title>
           <description>Job Overview The Quality Control (QC) team member plays a key role in the final inspection and preparation of all wood and painted product in the Finishing Department. This individual is responsible for ensuring that every product meets Harbour City Kitchens&#039; quality standards before being wrapped, kitted, and staged for shipment. The role requires a strong eye for detail, thorough understanding of quality requirements, organizational skills, and effective communication with other departments. Responsibilities and Duties Primary Responsibilities Inspect all finished wood and painted components for quality, including finish consistency, cleanliness, and defect-free construction. Ensure all products meet company standards before they are released for shipping. Identify and flag any quality issues or incomplete jobs and communicate with relevant team members to resolve them. Wrap and protect parts for delivery using approved materials and processes to ensure they arrive undamaged. Kit and organize all parts and hardware associated with each job, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Stage jobs in the appropriate area once they have passed QC and are ready for shipping or delivery. Maintain accurate documentation and use barcode scanners or software tools to track job readiness. Work closely with Finishing, Production, and Shipping to meet deadlines and resolve issues quickly. Follow all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed and submitted when tracking issues or requesting rework on any parts/jobs. Ensure all product leaving the shop is stamped and initialed “Approved” to confirm it meets HCK’s quality standards. Additional Duties Maintain clean, organized, and labeled kitting and staging areas. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements related to QC and job completeness. Perform minor touch-ups or coordinate rework for rejected parts (if trained and authorized). </description>
